Proactive learning
1) Spanish I Textbook: online resources
Learning a second language takes a lot of commitment and work on the part of the new learner. Opportunities for practicing and improving the four skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) are provided during class time. However, a proactive student is also interested into taking matters into his/her own hands. Realidades I, which is the book that our curriculum is based on, offers opportunity for online practice. Access the contents of the book by clicking on the bottom below. Happy studying!!!

Being able to go back to your Spanish whenever you have an extra few minutes (riding on the car with your parents, waiting for an appointment, on the bus home, etc.) is a great resource that you have at your fingertips ALL the time. If you feel motivated to give this idea a try, there are two FREE and fantastic apps that you can download to your phone:
1) Quizlet: You can access the cards, learn, match and test features whenever you have an extra bit of time. Do it for fun, do it for learning, or do it for reinforcing your Spanish. Every little bit of time that you put into practicing your Spanish adds up!!!
2) Duolingo: Duolingo is an app that you can use to learn many languages. It features vocabulary, listening, pronunciation and grammar drills. It is really fun and you can give it a try whenever you have a few minutes (you decide how many) to spare.
